What’s your IQ?

Did you know Ancient Egyptians believed the heart was the center of intelligence and emotion? They also thought so little of the brain that during mummification, they removed the brain entirely from bodies.

UPS in our body

There is a function like power switching in computers. You breath automatically but if you want to stop breathing it switches to manual. Then after forgetting it return to automatic mode automatically.

What we missed!

Dr. Henry Kissinger, then-U.S. presidential national security adviser, seated, wearing eyeglasses, is flanked by Prime Minister of Iran Abbas Howeida, seated left, and U.S. foreign affairs assistant Joseph Sisco, seated right, as they watch a belly dancer in a hotel in Tehran, Iran, in this May 12, 1972, file photo. In Tehran in the early 1970's, miniskirts were the rage among women and sexy cinema posters were ubiquitous, although many considered them offensive. Now, women in Tehran must cover themselves from head to foot in public to abide by an Islamic dress code. (AP Photo/File)

English-Arabic languages

English people don’t rigor the life for themselves. This is obvious even in their language and grammar in comparison with Arabic or Farsi. Because of Arabic culture and religious thoughts they have a very difficult language. In Arabic there are many pronouns. There are two types of “you” in Farsi and four types in Arabic. There are two words for aunt and uncle and eight words for cousin and four words for niece and nephew, because of their type of life and culture.

An interesting comment about Nicole Kidman note!

There is an interesting comment about one of my notes that I am going to tell it here and explain about it. First of all I must thank all of you that visit my blog and put or don’t put (!) your useful and valuable comments. Thank You!
Hi

Hey man, that was just a joke. A fake artificial interview. They had mixed the scenes so that it looks like as if he is interviewing Hollywood stars.

And his looking down all the time, it was yet another joke about our culture.

Your friend from Iran!

Maybe I couldn’t express my purpose that I had known the interview with Nicole Kidman, Judy Foster, Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and others was not real and they have made it with cinematic trick or special effects. On the other hand about showman’s shame. I must explain that in Iran religious families teach their children not to look at the opposite sex’s eyes, eye to eye, not to be with opposite sex in a room, lonely and many of these lessons! This was the cause of his shame. But certainly you know that a normal boy or girl anywhere even Iran couldn’t and wouldn’t obey these kind of orders or lessons!

USA America

I am very happy that the main symbol of human civilization and the result of many people’s efforts during difficult years of history is USA United States of America.
Future mankind will appreciate and honor for living in a world that some of its citizens have had the intelligence and power to make and constitute this country and also help other people of the world to have better life. The perfect type of democracy, liberty, secularism, progress and life are in America.

About my English language

There are two types of learning English language: learning in an English speaking country or learning in a foreign country that people don’t speak English in their daily conversations. I belong to the second group. We had an English teacher that told us: “ Try not to translate Farsi sentences to English word by word, because they may use some special or other words for a special purpose. Try to think English then speak English.”
Although I couldn’t speak English as well as an Englishman but I think I could transmit my message clearly or imply it somehow. When I was studying in university in the first term I needed money and I worked in a bookshop. A tourist from Japan came and asked me about a cookbook. First I didn’t know what he means but then after some calculations in my mind I found what was his purpose.
I hope the same thing will happen in my blog too. The below note of Hossein Derakhshan is the same about me too:
I must write more often here
It's so sad that I can't write here as much as I do in my Persian blog. Especially in these important days of the election crisis, which I guess, is the most transparently serious crisis in the past two decades.
But believe me that writing something in my Persian blog which has over 5,000 readers everyday is much more fun than writing here. Although I know the English version is even more important than the Persian one, because there are many other resources available for Iranians, more or less talking about everything in the political scene but with an enigmatic language.
But what I can write in this English blog could be really fresh and original. But then the language barrier comes across: I can't write in English as easily and quickly as I do in Persian. But I have to write more--and I must change the ugly design of this page as soon as possible.
Sorry about talking to myself.

A reporter found a girl’s diary that has died in Bam

A reporter of Yas daily newspaper has found a diary of a girl who has died in Bam earthquake. She was a university student that studying accounting in Bam. She has written her memorial events of life and her memorabilia in that notebook. The notable thing in that diary is a note about her dream that she had seen their plural death.
Here I have translated a summary of this report and some of her memorabilia from her diary:
In the 6th day after earthquake I found the cover of a notebook in the place of Bam university dormitory. It was a girl’s diary. In one of its pages she explained about a dream. She has dreamed one night at 4:00 am (night). She says it was a horrible dream and I wake up. She had seen that a man with giant body and a yellow coat had coming. She and her father and somebody else have known that he was death. He had come and had passed them. She says: “He come and pass us and we died and we know that all of us died. And I wake up”
Maybe many wonderful or even more wonderful than this event has happened before earthquake but none of them have been written anywhere. Like our life, there are many actions and events, which happen, in daily life or night dreams but we don’t write them in a safe place.
The best and safest place for writing and keeping these kinds of memorabilia and diary and experiences and important notes of life is a blog. In a blog more people can access to your notes and they are safe until the world and what in it (like web) is safe!

Big Brother

Iran’s government is worse than Taliban in Afghanistan because they were foolish and stupid governors there and only want you to act like what the say, have bear and wear cloth like them, they couldn’t communicate with outside world and hide the real problems of their own country. But these are very intelligent. These want you to think like them, want to control your mind like Big Brother in 1984 (George Orwell).

Shah-Imam

Two famous headlines in newspapers of 1979 (Islamic revolution in Iran) “Shah raft (Shah leaved [Iran])” and “Imam amad (Imam arrived [to Iran])” needs no explanation about what has happened to Iran and us in that day and during these years! It means nothing else changed except names (Shah-Imam). No progress, no change in minds, no change in people’s life and …

Nicole Kidman takes part in 22nd Fadjer festival

Nicole Kidman takes part in 22nd Fadjer festival. She has an interview with ceremonies chairman. While talking to each other man didn’t look at the face of Nicole because of shame of her enormous beauty! (In fact because of boss order!)
